Craig

Craig Bowditch

Director

Craig grew up in Canberra as part of a real estate family and commenced working in the strata industry in 1990 whilst finishing his Economics degree at the Australian National University.

Over this time Craig has gained a wealth of experience in the ACT strata community and has watched the sector grow from a cottage industry into the large, diverse, complex, and professional business it is today. Throughout this time, Craig has realised the need to stay focussed on customer needs and to work towards pragmatic and achievable outcomes.

Craig’s strata knowledge is also well complemented by his previous involvement and studies in construction. This knowledge greatly assists when working through the many building issues that occur in strata complexes.

Craig maintains a hands-on approach with his business and is actively involved with the eclectic mix of complexes under Bridge Strata’s management. He shares his vast knowledge and experience with his staff and clients to the benefit of both.

Jan

Jan Browne

Director & Licensee in Charge

Jan has worked in the Strata industry since 1988 and she continues to manage a diverse portfolio of properties, including both small and large residential, commercial, and industrial schemes across ACT and NSW jurisdictions. Jan excels in Community and Neighbourhood Association management and thrives when dealing with arrangements other managers might consider challenging or unusual.

Jan is a long-term member of the NSW ISTM (now known as SCA NSW) and has previously served on the Licensed Managers Sub Committee and the SCA ACT Board. She currently serves on the SCA National Professional Standards and Membership Board Advisory Group (PSMBAG) and is one of two Certified SCA Trainers in the ACT.

Throughout her career, Jan has received numerous industry accolades and was most recently awarded the SCA ACT Professional Commitment to Service and Ethics in 2022.

Her dedication to education and learning, combined with vast industry experience ensures Jan’s clients continue to receive outstanding professional service. For this reason, many of the complexes in Bridge Strata’s portfolio have been with Jan for decades.

When she is not working tirelessly at Bridge Strata, Jan can often be found on one of a dozen basketball courts around the region. She coaches’ representative basketball and is committed to various community improvement projects.

The Managers

Steve Wiebe

Senior Strata Manager

Steve is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in the Strata industry. Having recently attained the status of a certified Strata Community Manager, his expertise is to be noted.

Within the Strata industry, Steve’s impact is considerable. He has assumed roles on the Strata Communities Association (SCA) ACT board as both treasurer and board member and is one of two certified SCA trainers in the ACT.

Industry education is a personal passion of Steves, and he is dedicated to equipping new industry members with in-depth knowledge of the Act, ensuring competence and confidence in communication, and understanding. Armed with his deep-seated knowledge and experience Steve has a history of meeting and exceeding client needs.

Beyond his profession, Steve is a Ballroom Dancing instructor and has recently qualified as an international scrutineer for the Dance World.

Amanda Dengate

Senior Strata Manager

Amanda has been in the Strata Industry for 8 years starting her career in 2016 as an assistant strata manager for Bridge Strata’s ACT portfolio working in the Canberra office for the first 4 years.

Amanda is an integral member of the Bridge Strata team, taking on several roles over the course of her career including office management, staff training, implementing processes and personally assisting Director Jan Browne.

Being a Queanbeyan local, when the opportunity arose to work from the new Queanbeyan office she jumped at the chance, shifting focus to the Bridge Strata NSW portfolio.

In 2021, Amanda quickly achieved her NSW Assistant Agent certificate and within the next 12 months also completed her studies to receive a Class 2 Agent License in Strata Management.

Amanda successfully manages a growing NSW portfolio and prides herself on being professional, courteous, and building positive working relationships with her clients.

Mitch Sweeting

Strata Manager

Mitch has an abundance of customer service experience coming from a decade in retail. He uses this experience to build positive relationships and ensure that our clients’ needs are met.

Mitch brings his own blend of professionalism and attentiveness to his work, and he is passionate about nurturing the complexes in his portfolio.

Mitch’s friendly and attentive approach has earned him a reputation as someone who goes the extra mile, and residents within his complexes appreciate the productivity that comes with this.

Mitch is approaching his one-year anniversary working in the strata industry and has built a solid foundation of knowledge and experience already. Mitch is poised for continued growth and success with an ever-growing portfolio. He looks forward to contributing to the evolution of the industry and further enhancing the experiences of his clients.

Brad Thomas

STRATA MANAGER

Brad joined Bridge Strata equipped with over 4 years of experience in building and facilities management, as well a foundation of 5+ years’ experience in customer service.

Brad has managed a diverse range of apartment complexes throughout Canberra and due to his extensive hands-on involvement, Brad is able to apply a wide-ranging knowledge base to his strata portfolios.

Meanwhile, his comprehensive customer service background allows him to build successful relationships with his clients by maintaining his approachable, friendly, and professional manner. Brad is committed to providing our clients with an efficient service and he is determined to grow in the Strata Industry.

 

The Support Team

Rebecca Powell

Finance Manager

Rebecca commenced her Strata industry career at Bridge Strata in January 2022.   

Her professional background has spanned various sectors including, elite sports management, major infrastructure development and building and construction. Her extensive experience has led to her current role within the Strata sphere, in which she is invaluable.   

Her role is diverse, ranging from operations and administration to complex financial management. Rebecca is a methodical worker with talent for brainstorming ideas that improve the efficiency of our office.   

Outside of work, she is a devoted mother to three children and enjoys family time with her husband and kids. 

Jessica Hocking

Senior Administrator

Jess first started working in the property industry in 2006 as a settlement clerk for an independent agency in the ACT. From there, she liaised with many leading conveyancers in the region and assisted with all aspects of the exchange and sale/purchase process.   

In 2015, concurrently while continuing work in ACT & NSW settlements, Jess also independently ran a Strata Inspection business where she provided written reports for potential buyers of various Unit Title, Strata Title and Association properties in the ACT and NSW.  

She began working for Bridge Strata in 2020 and has experience fulfilling many roles with our office. Her down-to-earth nature and passion for problem-solving ensure she is in high demand.  

Jess completed a Bachelor of Arts at the ANU in 2014 and obtained her NSW Assistant Agent Certificate and a Certificate of Achievement in the ACT A100 in 2023. She is personally driven to continue her education and hopes to specialize in managing the obscure and uncommon arrangements that arise in strata living.  

Caitlin Ewin

Assistant Strata Manager

Caitlin joined Bridge Strata in early 2022, assuming a supportive role within the team. 

Caitlin assists our Strata Managers with their portfolios and facilitating seamless daily operations within our office and for our clients. Her logical, calm intellect and can-do approach make her a valued member of our team.  

Alongside her admin. responsibilities, Caitlin professionally handles a modest portfolio and consistently demonstrates a comprehensive grasp of strata workings.  

Caitlin obtained a Certificate of Achievement in the ACT A100 in 2023 and will continue cultivating her professional expertise to ensure our clients receive the best service possible. 

Rebecca Warren

ASSISTANT STRATA MANAGER

Rebecca joined our team towards the end of 2023, filling an administrative role.

Prior to joining Bridge Strata, Rebecca ran a successful business for over a decade, gaining extensive customer service experience and developing a passion for helping people to live a positive life.

With a friendly nature and a love for a great team environment, Rebecca enjoys assisting her colleagues and our clients with the daily tasks required in the Strata industry. Having good attention to detail and a focus on support, this role is one that she thrives in.

Outside of work, Rebecca loves good food and going on adventures in her campervan with her husband.

Clara Krupp

Reception and Admin

Clara is a highly experienced and dedicated customer service professional, having spent over 15 years working in healthcare and retail.  

Throughout her career Clara has consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering excellent service and fostering strong client relationships.   

Before joining Bridge Strata, Clara successfully managed an optometry practice where she showcased her ability to handle diverse responsibilities with care and accuracy.  

Clara’s skillset and accomplishments make her an invaluable asset to our professional team and her dedication to excellence will contribute to our success in future.  

Elena Dorsoski

Reception and Admin

Elena is an energetic and friendly member of Bridge Strata, and she is committed to delivering high quality customer service with strong verbal and written communication skills.   

Elena is often our first point of contact for all customers and she aims to meet all clients’ needs; no matter how big or small the inquiry may be.   

She is an integral member of our administration team, and her positive and inquisitive nature ensures she excels in this role.  

Outside of work Elena is currently studying to become a Nutritionist and enjoys all things food/ gym related.
